Amy graduated from Plymouth University in 2002 after completing a three year BA HONS degree studying Fashion and Textile Design. During this time she gained many new skills and was selected to show her final collection on the catwalk at London Fashion Graduate Week.

In 2003 Amy began working in the bridal industry where she developed many new skills and soon realised that this was where she wanted to use her talent in design and creativity.

In 2004 she moved abroad where she continued to experiment with design and construction techniques.

Moving Back to the UK in 2007 enabled Amy to open a studio and turn a part time passion into Amy McDonald Designs.

Her studio is in Saffron Walden in Essex where her current collection is available to view. She is happy to welcome visitors and discuss any requirements but this is strictly by appointment only.
